It ultimately depends on the client; I make adjustments to the treatment based on the individual‘s needs and preferences. I work to soothe musculature with Swedish massage techniques, using lighter pressure to start, gradually leading to deeper techniques and finishing off with lighter touch once again.

Treating head, neck and shoulders; lots of individuals carry their tension and stress within these areas, including myself, so I have understand the importance of reducing such tightness and stress to improve the overall quality of life . I incorporate a range of techniques to lengthen the muscle and decrease tension in the respective areas.

As an RMT, I practice in a client-centred manner, striving to create a welcoming, warm environment for everyone, the moment they enter my treatment space. My therapy style is a mix of relaxation with the ability to get deep and specific into areas causing discomfort. I encourage my clients to be active participants in their treatments and communicate their preferences and comfort level throughout the appointment.

KNOWN FOR

I use a combination of general Swedish, myofascial, relaxation and trigger point techniques during my treatments. I am also trained to be able to incorporate hydrotherapy and dry cupping modalities into treatment to enhance the therapeutic effect of the massage and support my clients’ health goals.

After assessment, considering what needs to be treated and the goals of my client getting a massage that day, I weave a combination of techniques from different types of massages into a smooth flow. I also usually add a little stretching, as well as remedial  exercises as a homework if needed

My style blends postural & movement assessment into the treatment. This allows for the client and me to locate the underlying source of their pain, and empower them with the tools & knowledge to improve their posture, function and well-being.

KNOWN FOR

Through my past experience working with both amateur and professional athletes as a personal trainer, I’m able to not only provide immediate relief for their current pain, but also suggest specific corrective exercises and strategies for them to add into their training to help prevent future injuries before they happen.

WHY YOU LOVE BEING A RMT

As someone who has dealt with chronic low back pain in the past, I know firsthand the incredible mental and physical relief that massage therapy has provided me over the years. The ability to give that same peace of mind to other people is why I love being a massage therapist.

HOBBIES

Bass guitar, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (both competing in and refereeing at local tournaments), reading, weight-lifting, fishing, going to concerts with friends, hiking.
